Gola

“Gola” explores the relationship between memory, time, and image, questioning visual perception. The images that make up the project are taken from my personal archive.

In the creative process, calcium carbonate plays a key role. The images are printed on black PVC sheets using an inkjet printer, and calcium carbonate is applied to the surface. The interaction between this material and the ink gradually alters the image, never allowing it to reach a stable form.

The project connects to the concept of hauntology, where images exist as elusive presences, persisting over time without ever being fully grasped, echoing what has passed while continuing to resonate in the present.
