Troppo fumo per una sigaretta

The intimate nature of this project arises from the investigation of the human relationships between two brothers. Knowing the guys since the chilhood, I could reflect on the evolution of their relationship during the growth and on the mutable changes involved. In this case, photography became an instrument to explore the individual identity, that change and is defineed in the brotherhood. In the project, I broke up and mixed the brothers’ personalities, generating a unique many-sided organism, that moves putting togheter and braking up itself, through symbolic images of every day objects and ritual gestures, acted for the shot. The observation of the final images brings the gaze of the observer to stumble on the edge of a dysfunctional moment.
